A Tribute To Alec

alec.jpg

We are sad to announce that one of our founder members, Alec Fuller, has passed away whilst on a year out in Australia.
Everybody at the club would like to express their deepest sypmathies to Alec’s family. Whilst deeply shocked and saddened by this untimely event, many of Alec’s friends have shared their thoughts and tributes to him on our forum. Here is a small example…

“Alec was warm, sensitive, prodigiously intelligent and gifted, with an unique flair for language. He was an excellent listener, and very self-effacing. He rarely talked about himself, and usually about the person he was with. He had an acute sense of irony, and he was acerbic, but never ever cruel.
But the thing that most struck you about Alec was his immense intellect and wit. He was, quite simply, very very funny. In a crowded table, Alec always got the most laughs. He had a great knack of judging an audience. I always felt that he could’ve been a success in almost any field.”
