Titans win ‘Fair Play Award’ at IGLFA World Cup

The London Titans rounded off a successful week at the World Cup (being held in London) when the Titans second team were awarded the ‘Fair Play Award’ for Division 2. Titans were especially proud to receive the award which this year was made in honour of Alec Fuller, one of Titans founder members who passed away last year.

Titans entered two 18 man squads in this year’s tournament. The Titans second team were boosted by some members of the San Francisco Spikes.

Having progressed through the difficult group stages, both teams lost to a strong Mexican side, Titans 2 in the last 16 of the tournament and the Titans 1 in the quarter finals. Match reports for the games will be available soon.

Congratulations to the Division 1 winners – Stonewall and the Division 2 winners – Leicester Wildecats.
