Titans Birthday Tournament and 2009 Calendar Launch
This Saturday we will be hosting our 3rd birthday tournament where teams will compete for the “Alec Fuller Trophy”. The tournament kicks off at 11am in Old Deer Park, Richmond. All the London teams have confirmed that they will be taking part. The awards ceremony will take place at our sponsors, West 5 in South Ealing. At the awards ceremony we will be launching our 2009 calendar. The calendar costs £7 (+ £1 p+p) and is to help us raise funds for our trip to next year’s IGLFA World Championships in Washington DC. The entry fee is £60 per team entered. Cheques made payable to London Titans should be sent to:

Alternatively payment can be made by cheque at registration.
At registration each team will be provided with bottled water. Bananas will also be available from the control desk during the day. We are trying to arrange for a mobile refreshment van to attend but failing that refreshments can be purchased from the leisure centre.
Tournament format
The format of the tournament is an 11 a side round robin (all play all) league. Matches will last 20 minutes. There will be no half time. 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw. The winner of the tournament will be the team with the most points after playing all their games. In the event of a tie, the winner shall be determined by goal difference. In the event of tied goal difference, there shall be a penalty shoot out.
The games will be played according to the GFSN rules, that is to say the ordinary FA rules plus rolling substitutions. Rolling substitutions may take place when there is a break in play but only once the referee has been notified. The Games will be played on two pitches meaning that 4 teams will be playing and 4 teams resting for every round of matches. We have 4 referees (allowing the referees to referee alternative matches) but we would ask that the teams provide players to run the line.
If a player receives 2 yellow cards during the course of the tournament then they will serve a 1 match suspension. If a player receives a red card then they will also serve a 1 match suspension. Players who receive a red card for violent conduct will be ejected from the tournament.
We are running to a strict timetable (pitches are booked until 4 and the changing rooms until 430) so please ensure that your teams are assembled and ready to play 5 minutes before the scheduled kick off time. Please immediately report the result of each game to the control desk.
Awards and post tournament refreshments
There is a trophy (the “Alec Fuller Trophy”) and medals for the winners. The awards ceremony will be held at our sponsors West 5 in South Ealing. West 5 is a 15-20 minute bus ride from Richmond and again details of how to find it can be found on our website.
We are laying on refreshments at West 5 and would therefore ask you to urge your members to join us there after the tournament.
We will also be launching our 2009 calendar (priced £7) on Saturday evening. This is designed to help us meet the cost of our trip to next year’s IGLFA championships in Washington DC.
We hope that you enjoy the day.
